A chant of "We want the hydrant!" will often make the hydrant—another Phyrst tradition—spray water in the general direction of the bell. One of the Phyrst's ancient mysteries is how, when, and why this happens, but the Hydrant usually responds well to "We want the hydrant!" over and over.
