Table Wars!!!

Saturday nights come even more alive at the Phyrst!! (and some other nights, too)

When?
Table Wars are a Phyrst tradition every Saturday night and St. Patrick's Day.

Where?
Look at your table number when you arrive. With a few exceptions, it's a brass number affixed to the top of the table on one end. The exceptions are

Table 69: the brass numbers are on the bench against the wall for these two tables against the wall by the fire exit, not on the actual tables.
Table Minibar: the stools against the wall by the stairs are at the "minibar".
Table at the Wall: the table between Table 69 and the Minibar, at the other bench against (you guessed it) the wall. "Who the hell is at the wall?" is returned with "We're the people at the wall."
People at the Bar: everyone at the bar where drinks are ordered. "Who the hell is at the bar?" is returned with "We're the people at the bar."
Table Sucks is Table 6.
What?
During a set break or before band starts, a table will shout out something like
"We are table number ten, number ten, number ten! We are table number ten, where the hell is table three?"
where "ten" is replaced by the table of the people yelling, and "three" is replaced by the table they want to respond.

At this point, table three (for this example) should reply,
"We are table number three, number three, number three! We are table number three, where the hell is minibar!"

The people at the minibar could then reply,
"We are table minibar, minibar, minibar! We are table minibar, where the hell is table one?"

and so on around the bar, table by table, until a table fails to respond, at which point the entire bar is encouraged to instruct that table to drink heavily until they get into the spirit: "Table one chugs! Table one chugs! Table one chugs!"

So come on down!

The Bell

If you know the drum cadence played by Penn State's Blue Band, feel free to pick up a drumstick from against the wall by the cowbell and show your Penn State spirit by playing that cadence on the cowbell. The bar will join in with the "P", "S", and "U". But, be warned, for if you screw it up, the bar will also be very enthusastic by encouraging you to chug for your mistakes

PLEASE do not play along with the bands Sun-Friday.

The Hydrant

A chant of "We want the hydrant!" will often make the hydrant—another Phyrst tradition—spray water in the general direction of the bell. One of the Phyrst's ancient mysteries is how, when, and why this happens, but the Hydrant usually responds well to " We want the hydrant!" over and over.
